Nha Trang, Vietnam – Dr. Tuswan, S.T., a lecturer in Naval Architecture Engineering at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), delivered a presentation at The 2nd International Conference on Marine Sustainable Development and Innovation hosted by Nha Trang University, Vietnam, from July 25–27, 2025. His participation underscores UNDIP’s World Class University (WCU) initiative to expand global academic networks and promote the university’s maritime research excellence.

Dr. Tuswan presented a paper titled “Effect of Fixed Perforated Baffle Design on Sloshing Dynamics in 40-ft LNG ISO Tanks: A Computational Approach Using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics.” The study analyzes ISO tank designs for Mini LNG Carriers—a solution for transporting liquefied natural gas to Indonesia’s remote regions. This research was collaboratively developed by UNDIP and the Hydrodynamic Technology Research Center of Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).

The conference yielded a strategic outcome: an Implementation Agreement (IA) for joint research and publications between Nha Trang University’s Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and UNDIP’s Department of Naval Architecture Engineering. This partnership aims to accelerate maritime technology innovation and advance sustainable development goals.

Dr. Tuswan’s involvement elevated UNDIP’s global reputation while unlocking new research opportunities. “This conference provided a platform to exchange ideas and strengthen collaborations in eco-friendly maritime technology,” he stated. UNDIP remains committed to pioneering innovative energy and maritime transport solutions for Indonesia.
