The team of Naval Architecture students from Diponegoro University achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the Fishing Vessel Design Contest (FVDC) NauticaFest 2025, organized by HIMAFARIN IPB University. This national-level competition was participated in by diploma and undergraduate students from various universities across Indonesia, with a total of 11 teams in the preliminary round and 7 teams advancing to the final stage. Carrying the theme “Next-Gen Fishing Vessels: Designing the Future of Indonesia Fisheries through Innovation and Sustainable Technology”, the contest challenged participants to present innovative fishing vessel designs that are efficient, environmentally friendly, and capable of addressing crucial maritime issues such as illegal fishing and marine ecosystem sustainability. In the competition held from May 30 to August 16, 2024, at IPB University, the team consisting of Arsha Karunia Shafwah, Muhammad Hilmi Hibatullah, Indah Intari, and Fachrezi Sidiq Dhiwangkari won the Best Presentation award, showcasing their quality of ideas, creativity, and communication skills at the national level.
