Kapal is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal, published by the Department of Naval Architecture, Diponegoro University. Readers can read and download any full-text articles without any charge. Author submission and article processing is free of charge.
This journal has been accredited by National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA), managed by the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency, Republic of Indonesia with Second Grade (Sinta 2) since Vol 14, No. 1 (2017).
Journal scopes contain ten items (including “other fields” that discuss them in Marine Science and Technology), which are: 1) Ship Hydrodynamics, 2) Ship Design and Production, 3) Ship Structure, 4) Naval and Marine System, 5) Ship Machinery, 6) Ship Material, 7) Marine Transport Engineering, 8) Ocean Renewable Energy, 9) Offshore, and 10) Coastal & Port Management.
Kapal Journal regularly publishes three times a year: February, June, and October. All accepted manuscripts are published temporarily in “Article In Press” directly and are not assigned to volume/issue number until the regular issue time comes.
