Diponegoro University held the 2022 Diponegoro University Award Evening, Friday (2/12) at the Prof. Building. Soedarto, S.H. Building, Undip Tembalang. The event is part of Undip’s 65th Anniversary. Undip Award Night is an award event for outstanding students in scientific, sports and art competitions at the international, national, regional and university levels. In addition, awards were also given to outstanding lecturers and work units.
One of the recipients of the award was Ahmad Fauzan Zakki, a Lecturer in Marine Engineering who received the most awards in the patent category. Mr Zakki, as he is affectionately called, has 3 patents in 2019, namely the Hull Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull patent for Unmanned Surface Vehicles, the Cone Capsule Tsunami Lifeboat, and the Mechanism of Placement of the Rotating Shaft for the Unmanned Double Hull Semi-Immersed Water Surface Vehicle.
Mr Zakki himself is a lecturer in the Department of Naval Architecture who has taught for 22 years and has research experience in the field of ship construction. He received his doctorate from Pukyong National University, South Korea in 2012 with the dissertation entitled Development of 90 Persons New Type Free Fall Lifeboat for the Evacuation System on Offshore Platform.
