Bangkok, Thailand – One of junior lecturer of The Department of Naval Architecture, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Dr. Tuswan continues to demonstrate its commitment to becoming a world-class scientist by participating in the prestigious 15th TSME International Conference on Mechanical Engineering 2025 (TSME-IcoME 2025), held from December 9-12, 2025, at Arnoma Grand Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.
As part of the World Class University (WCU) program, facilitated through the International Academic Network (IAN), the Department of Naval Architecture’s participation in this event aims to enhance its global academic reputation and foster research collaborations in marine technology. Through this conference, the department will not only present innovative research but also strengthen international partnerships, expanding research collaboration, academic exchanges, and joint funding opportunities.

During the conference, the Department of Naval Architecture’s delegation, led by Dr. Tuswan, a faculty member of the department, will present the paper titled “Numerical Investigation of Insulation and Support Block Materials on Temperature Distribution in ISO Tanks for 40 ft LNG ISO Tank.” This paper, which has been accepted for publication in the Scopus-indexed conference proceedings, reflects the department’s active engagement in advanced maritime research and its contributions to global marine engineering.
The conference covers a wide range of topics including alternative energy, marine engineering, applied mechanics, biomechanics, and energy technology. The event serves as a platform for sharing groundbreaking research, discussing innovations, and fostering collaboration among researchers and professionals from various countries. It also provides the department with an opportunity to showcase its research excellence and network with leading experts in mechanical engineering.
In addition to the conference sessions, participants also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Thai culture through the Bangkok Cultural Exposition. This excursion allowed attendees to explore the rich cultural heritage of Bangkok, deepening their understanding of local history and traditions. The cultural excursion was followed by a relaxing Chao Phraya River Cruise Gala Dinner, where participants enjoyed the stunning views of the city’s skyline and historical landmarks while networking with fellow researchers and professionals in a festive atmosphere.
The Department of Naval Architecture’s involvement in TSME-IcoME 2025 further strengthens its position as a key player in the global academic community, particularly in marine technology and engineering. As part of its mission to become a World Class University, the department is focused on increasing its academic reputation, expanding its international research network, and driving innovations in the maritime industry.
The expected outcomes of this participation include publishing research in an internationally recognized journal, establishing academic partnerships with global institutions, and disseminating the department’s research achievements to an international audience.
This initiative aligns with the Department of Naval Architecture’s broader goals to be recognized internationally as a hub for advanced research and innovation, contributing to the sustainable development of the maritime and engineering sectors globally.
