The Department of Naval Architecture at Diponegoro University celebrates the brilliant achievements of one of their leading lecturers, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ahmad Fauzan Zakki, S.T., M.T., IPM., MRINA, who was recently awarded the title of Professor in the field of Marine Structure, especially Dynamic finite element method for marine structure. This degree is a testament to recognition of excellence in research, teaching, and significant contributions to the development of maritime science and technology.
Professor Zakki has had an impressive academic journey over the years, and his achievements in the field of Marine Structure have paved the way for a better understanding of maritime structures, maintenance and innovation in the maritime sector. His diverse contributions include innovative research, a highly reputable publication, most recently in 2022 with the title Simplified FE model and experimental study on the tensile properties of the glass fibre reinforced polyester polymer, and technological development that advances the shipping industry.
In receiving this title of Professor, Professor Zakki not only received a personal award but also strengthened the reputation of the Department of Naval Architecture and Diponegoro University nationally and internationally. This degree reflects the high quality of education and research held at Diponegoro University and the Department of Naval Architecture.

Professor Zakki is also known as an extraordinary educator, who has guided and inspired many students to pursue careers in marine engineering. His achievements in teaching are a reflection of his extraordinary dedication to learning and developing the young generation of scientists and engineers in the shipping sector, one of which in 2022 was awarded the Undip Award as the UNDIP lecturer with the most patents.
